Caring Richmond Dentist

Get to Know Dr. Rowe

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr rowe

Dr. Rowe always knew she wanted a career in healthcare, but it wasn’t until a medical mission trip to Nicaragua during her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia that she realized dentistry was her true calling. There, she discovered that dentistry can provide immediate results, whether that’s relieving pain, restoring a smile, or helping a patient regain confidence, which is something many areas of healthcare don’t always allow.

Everything really clicked for her when she found that dentistry combines science and art. She enjoys working with her hands, being creative, restoring smiles, and building meaningful relationships with her patients while helping them feel comfortable and cared for.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Rowe and her family

Originally from Yorktown, Virginia, Dr. Rowe earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center in West Virginia. There, she developed experience in a wide range of dental procedures while caring for veterans, an experience that was especially meaningful to her as the daughter of two Navy veterans.

After residency, Dr. Rowe returned to the Hampton Roads area, where she practiced in private practice. Her family has slowly migrated to the Richmond area over the years, so she is excited to be returning to Richmond to practice closer to her family and to serve the community she has long considered home.
